The Schonstedt Spot is a magnetic locator. This model features the quality and accuracy of a Schonstedt locator at a lower cost. The Spot offers the same engineering as the more expensive GA-52CX in an ergonomic, lightweight form factor. Rated IP54 for dust and water resistance, the Spot is ready for harsh environments and daily use. In fact, you can even use it in shallow snow or during inclement weather.

The device is powered by 9v alkaline battery. Unique to this model is gain memory, this allows the device to remember the last setting used. This makes it easy to turn the unit on an start your next job without resetting the settings. You can operate the unit with single handed operation. You will clearly see your targets on the display bar graph. When it comes time to update your batteries, the design offers easy access battery removal and replacement. It takes One 9V battery and provides 24 hours of battery life with intermittent usage. The device will provide a 1/2 second audio beep, and you will hear every 12 second audio beep as as a tone when lower than 6.8V.
